SYNOPSIS:
Can the cruelties
of war destroy the ties of BROTHERHOOD?
The full impact of brotherly
love is shown in this touching Korean blockbuster
that teams up superstars Jang Dong Gun and Won Bin.
Its tale revolves around two brothers who are enlisted
in the army by force during the outbreak of the Korean
War in the 50's. Jang Dong Gun makes every effort
to excel in his duties in order to achieve an early
release from the military services for his younger
brother (Won Bin). Unaware of his older brother's
good intentions, the misunderstandings between the
two involuntary soldiers keep on accumulating until
the younger brother unintentionally comes across an
un-posted letter to his family and makes a fateful
decision ...
Breaking a new record
in the history of Korean movies, BROTHERHOOD devoured
a production cost of $12.8 million. However, the expenses
seem to have paid off well as it continued to become
a week-long nationwide success selling no less than
two million tickets in merely five days.
