WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Board of Directors of the Korean American Coalition, Washington, D.C. Area Chapter (KAC-DC) announced their organization leadership for 2004.

Julie Park was elected by the Board of Directors to serve as President of KAC-DC. A Program Manager with the Gates Millennium Scholars (GMS) program, Park replaces Walter Lee, who served as President of the organization in 2003.

Before joining the GMS/UNCF, Ms. Park served briefly as Vice-President of LinkVision, a small Internet start-up company, providing consulting services to businesses in US and Korea. Ms. Park was also with The Korea Society’s Washington Office from 1993 to 2000, first as a program officer to director of the Washington office.

Furthermore, the Board of Directors, reappointed Thomas Hahn as Chairman of the Board of KAC-DC. Hahn, the President of Hahn & Associates, P.C., an accounting firm in Tyson's Corner, will continue his second year as Chairman.

"I am honored to be elected as the President of KAC-DC. I am excited and look forward to creating a vigorous agenda and working with and serving the greater Washington, D.C. Korean-American community," said Park.

"KAC-DC had a very successful 2003 under the leadership of Walter Lee. I along with the Board welcome Julie Park as President and the 2004 Executive Committee, and I look forward to the full slate of activities KAC-DC will have,“ said Hahn.
